Gary Latimer Obituary

Gary H. Latimer

Gary H. Latimer 79, of Three Forks, MT died on January 18, 2021 at his home after a short battle with cancer.  He was born on February 22, 1941 and was the son of George and Bessie (Tweed) Latimer.

Gary graduated from Sycamore High School in 1959 and then went to serve in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964.  He married Karen Bevernitz on September 4, 1966 in Clintonville, WI whom he had his first child with; Kristin.  He then was married to Rebecca Barnes on April 27, 1996 and enjoyed 24 years of marriage.

Gary learned his love for flying while in the service.  He held numerous pilot jobs over the years where he flew corporate jets for different companies.  His final job ended up as his dream job, working for Jerry Rich at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove.  In retirement he bought land and built his own log cabin in Montana with the help of several family members and friends.  He loved airplanes and always lived life in the fast lane, until he moved out to Montana and really enjoyed his wide open land and his horses.

Survivors include; wife Rebecca of Three Forks, MT, daughter Kristin Latimer (Fugate) of Sussex, WI, Step children; Jenai (Dustin) Gregory of Sandwich, IL, Jessica (Walter) Quinlan of Oshkosh, WI, Joseph Barnes of Three Forks, MT, Grandchildren; Jacob, Joshua, and Faith. Step grandchildren; Grace, Gabrielle, Wyatt, Charlotte, Margaret, Walter, Calum, Luke, Elise, and Lylah.  Brother; Gerald (Charlene) Latimer of DeKalb and Sister-in-law; Dorothy Latimer of Clare, IL.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Maxine (Barney) Ball and June (Larry) Garcia and Brothers; Robert and Bruce Latimer.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no services at this time and a memorial service is being planned for a later date.

So sorry to hear of Gary´s passing. Gary and I worked together at Air Executive Air Charter Company. I remember flying home from a trip (with him in the cockpit) he decided we should buzz our neighborhood bar and wave hello before we landed and sure enough - we did! RIP Gary, you were a wonderful person and I´ll never forget you

I'm so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. He and I had a lot of fun when we were roommates in the Air Force in Michigan.
I tried to call him and found that his phone was not in service, so I decided to do a search for him and found his obituary. RIP RICK

My condolences go out to Gary's family. I am so sorry for your loss. Gary wasa good friend and coworker of mine for several years. We enjoyed many bull sessions about ranching, politics, and life in general. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready to help others. Rest in Peace,Gary. You will surely be missed and fondly remembered.
