Mrs. Frances Nance Simpson, 94, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Jesse Helms Nursing Center in Monroe. Born December 15, 1927 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late James Arthur Nance and Maude Griffin Nance. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Blair Simpson.
She was a lifelong member of the Olive Branch Community, loved to play piano and was the church organist for Olive Branch Baptist Church for over 60+ years. She was a great, wonderful wife and mother. She loved and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frances will be 2 PM Tuesday at Olive Branch Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM in the church fellowship building.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband of 76 years, William Fred “Short” Simpson; sons, William Gregg Simpson and his wife, Julie and Ted Simpson and his wife Debbie; grandchildren, William Garner Simpson (Rachael), Wendi Simpson Howard (Shawn); great grandchildren, Gage Howard, Grayson Howard and Adalynn Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made to Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 8804 Highway 218 East, Marshville, NC 28103.

We are saddened to learn of Mrs. Frances passing. She was a fine lady that gave of her talents and time to Olive Branch Baptist Church for many years. Always a good friend to my husband and me.
