Dorothy Faust Obituary

Dorothy Louise Faust entered earth on January 21, 1948 & departed the earthly phase of her life on June 18, 2022.

Dorothy, known as Dot to many, graduated from York Road School with honors in 1966 & attended Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. Even though she was a York Road graduate, she had a devoted affiliation with the 1966 class of West Charlotte High School. Dot worked at the United States Postal Service for over 30 years. During her tenure, she mentored, encouraged & inspired many lives before her retirement in 2007. She was a dedicated employee & an active member of NAPS. She participated in many activities including bowling, teaching Sunday School, visiting various casinos & being a phenomenal cook.

Most important to Dot were God & her loved ones. She believed in representing them both in everything she did. Proceeding her in death were her parents; mother Maggie Lee & father James, siblings; James, Johnny, Ronnie, Theresa & Laurie. Dot's transition has lasting memories for many as she is survived by her son Marshall Faust (Della) of Charlotte, NC & daughter Jevonda Faust of Charlotte, NC; siblings Juanita Faust (Derrick) of Charlotte, NC, Thomasina Corbin of Jenkinsberg, GA & Markus Faust of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren; Juanita Faust, Bre'Anna Faust, Marisha Frierson, Chris Reid & Daisha Dixon and great grandchildren; Adri'Anna Green, Tristan Frierson & Londyn Reid. Dot loved all her nieces & nephews but she had a special bond with Taliseia Charles, Ronald Cole, Rodrick Cole & Terua Graham. She will be missed daily by her immediate & extended families.

Momma, you will be missed. I’m so thankful to have met you and the time we spent together. We bonded from the very moment we met in person. Thank you for a beautiful sister, niece, nephew, and great-niece. God took one of his flowers as this garden could no longer keep you beautiful. He needed you closer to Him.
