Donetta, my dear sweet unofficial adopted sister, I attempted to phone and wish you and the family a Merry Christmas. Sadly I was greeted with the message of your phone being disconnected. I instantly knew something was not correct, so I searched the web in hopes not to find this. While I know you’re in a much better place and no longer suffering, I and others now have a huge void in our lives. My heartfelt condolences to your family, your mother and sister Debbie during what was most certainly a difficult time, as well Thanksgiving and now Christmas.
It was truly a blessing to be able to reconnect with you and David after so many years of moving from Pampa. You were always such a kind hearted, gentle and caring person in our youth. Something I discovered to be the same after reconnecting in February 2021 when I came to visit David. I know we joked around about you being my sister from another mister, yet in reality I considered it an honor to call you my lil’ big sister as well as my sister in Christ. I’m going to miss our text and phone calls dearly. However, there is great comfort in knowing that one day we will meet again in our heavenly home.

I had no idea of Donetta's passing until now. She was one of the sweetest friend I know. We went through grade school together all the way to High School graduation. When we were around 13 years old, her mother pierced my ears for me the old fashion way. I was so proud I could wear earrings, thanks to Donetta, as she was the one who suggested that her mom would do it for me. She will be so missed and prayers go to all her family and friends who love her.

I feel your emptiness as I lost my wife in December but have comfort knowing she is in heaven and no longer suffering. My prayers are with you and your family. Sorry I missed her funeral as I went to Pea Ridge and did not have time to get to Washburn.

Words are inadequate to describe what an incredible person Donetta is. Her care and concern for everyone was on display every day, not to mention her incredible faith, strength and endurance. She is truly the best of the best and our loss is Heaven's gain. No more pain my friend, Rest well!

Doug and family: I met Donetta almost 20 years ago through her work at CMI. She welcomed me with open arms when I was beginning my relationship with the CMI family. Over the years, her strong faith, love of family and strong connections to her team members and CMI employees was so very impressive and inspiring. Her valiant battle with cancer led me to hope and pray she was going to rebound and w8n against the wicked disease. Her arrival in heaven will be a blessing for her families, and knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord, Jesus Christ is a comfort to all of us who loved her and will miss her loving self. Many condolences and prayers to everyone who knew her.

Doug and family,
You already know this, but Donetta was an incredible lady who was loved and admired by so many people. She was such a great person, leader and friend to me (and many others) at Walmart. She interviewed me and hired me 14+ years ago, and she always looked out for me and her other direct reports. We will all miss her dearly.
