Dieck Dahm Obituary

Dieck B. Dahm, age 87 of Fremont passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at his home.

Dieck Bohman Dahm was born on February 15, 1935, in Clintonville to Mathias and DeVera (Bohman) Dahm. After graduating from Clintonville High School, he went on to Vocational School in Appleton. Dieck was united in marriage on June 4, 1955, to Darlene “Dolly” Schreiber at Christ Congregational Church, Clintonville. He entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea, serving from 1955-1957. Dieck worked for a short time at Badger Printing in Appleton. Then he was employed at American National Can in Neenah, for close to 38 years, retiring in 1997.

Dieck was a longtime member of Zion United Church of Christ, Dale, where he served on the church council and volunteered with all sorts of projects. Dieck always enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was hunting, trapping, fishing, canoeing, camping, or snowmobiling. The couple built a cabin up north and they cherished the time spent there with family. He will be remembered most as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dolly; and five children, Douglas (Donna) Dahm of Freedom, Daniel (Jean) Dahm of Robbinsdale, MN, Donald (Patricia) Dahm of Fremont, Dale (Betsey) Dahm of Pine River, and Debra (Peter) Adams of Chippewa Falls. There are 11 grandchildren: Joshua (Sarah) Dahm, Rachel (Brandon) King, Nathan (Abigail) Dahm, Sarah (Tim) Kiefer, Auden Dahm, Adele Dahm, Emily Dahm, Cora Adams, Grace Adams, Elka Dahm, and Liev Dahm. There are 8 great grandchildren: Eva, Stella, Cameron, Micah, Miles, Kayleigh, Eden, and Miriam. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dieck was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Ruth Dahm; and two sisters, Diane Dahm and Dona (Herbert) Post.
