Derrick Adams Obituary
Derick Adams age 41, of Florala passed away September 30, 2023. He was born April 26, 1982 in Opp the son of Mickey Adams and Joann Jowers Brooks. Derrick had a love for life and a love for getting things done. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a friend/brother to everyone. Derrick was always known for preferring hugs over handshakes. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by father, Mickey Adams; beloved dog, Molly.
He is survived by mother, Joann Brooks, sister, Nicki Jackson and husband Lamar, brother, Jason Adams and wife Stephine, uncles, Milford Adams and wife Carolyn and Bobby Jowers, nieces and nephews, Kayla, J.B., Mia, Brianna and Jacob Adams and wife Eliza, Kaleb and Kyliegh Seay and Alyssa Brown. He is also survived by an abundance of extended loved ones including numerous cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life services will be 1PM Thursday October 5, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home with Billy Pickron officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services.

Dear Derrick and Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about Derrick's passing. From Kindergarten to now, we shared a remarkable friendship that spanned many memorable moments. We grew up together, creating cherished memories that I will forever hold close to my heart.
Derrick and I shared a love for adventure, whether it was working on old cars, exhilarating drag races, chasing after girls, sharing a drink, or simply staying up late into the night, engrossed in conversation. These moments were more than just experiences; they were a testament to the bonds of our friendship.
Getting to know Derrick was an absolute pleasure. His infectious laughter, unwavering loyalty, and genuine kindness enriched my life in countless ways. He was a true friend, and his absence will be profoundly felt.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. May Derrick's memory bring you solace, and may you find strength in the love and support of those who care about you.
Derrick will be dearly missed, but his legacy of friendship and the joy he brought into our lives will forever endure.
