Debra Strehle - Burns Obituary

Debra Jo Burns, 68, was received into the arms of her Savior on November 13, 2021.
Deb was born to the late Robert and Maxine (Bentley) Strehle on November 6, 1953 in Pontiac MI. Deb graduated from Waterford-Kettering High School in 1971.
While attending high school, Deb worked at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital and continued her employ for an additional 10 years there as she pursued her true passion studying the arts at Oakland University.
Deb eventually relocated to Leland MI, where she worked in both the restaurant industry as a server and in the medical field as a CNA.
Deb married Terry in May 2005. Deb joined Terry in his travels as a long haul truck driver and together, their journey led them near and far. They enjoyed a small traveling companion, Gizmo (a chihuahua), who left her small but mighty legacy with them in her passing. Deb and Terry raised their 'small' army of dogs with enthusiasm at their home in Kalkaska MI. Their affection for their canine family was very evident; it wasn't uncommon to stop by to find them cooking meals for their mixed breed of small loves. Deb will be remembered by friends and family for her creative artistic talent and her love and passion for Terry and the dogs.
Deb was notoriously loquacious and made many friends as a result of that flair. Deb never met a stranger and her affection for people was contagious.
Deb is survived by her husband, Terry; son, Allan Strehle; sisters, Delma (Tim) Yost of West Branch MI, and Diane (Frank) Beek of Mio MI; brother, Dale (Jalane) Strehle of Howard OH.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: brothers, Douglas and Daniel Strehle, and sisters, Donna May and Denise Maxine Strehle.
