Debora “Debbie” Ann Stahn Starling, 64, of East Bend, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022. She was born in Dade County, Florida on January 19, 1958 to Clarence Jeremiah and Barbara Jeanne Rourk Stahn. Debbie was a tax preparer for H&R Block. She was of the Moravian faith. Debbie enjoyed crafts, quilting, and crocheting. She was a local caregiver to the Taylors and Normans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Christopher Dale Starling and her second husband, Danny Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Christine Minatree, Paul Minatree lll, Nova Ann Pedro, and Lance (Amanda) Starling; grandchildren, Jessie Minatree, Logan and Damion Kell, and Briella and Hunter Starling, and one in November; sisters, Teresa (Rob) Ebsary, and Pam Coker; Brothers, Dan (Patricia Dietric) Stahn, and Richard Stahn.
Her graveside service will be private. Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 North Lee Ave., Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend is serving the Starling family. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.

I got to meet meet Debbie 2 times like 7 years ago and she was very friendly and welcomed me and was so very proud of what her and Chris done together while she was showing me around her house I never got to meet Chris but I have heard a lot of good things about him as well

My mother loved hard and deep. She gave a lot of herself to family no matter how much it hurt.
Mom did the best she could with nothing. Made the best of everything no matter how simple it may have seemed to others. She enjoyed making old things new and useful. These things I think she loved most....the simple things. Things people forgot and discarded...
Mom did not have a good start in life. Emotional scars we set in early in life. She became a mother and caretaker way too soon.
The moment she was able to spread her wing's she was free. Free to be the Debbie everyone knows now.
Her wings are now magical...wings that will prevent anything from hurting her again.
My Lord in heaven be gentle with my mother as I know she is with you.
I love you mom and always will. I look forward to the day I see you again in Gods kingdom, until then I will miss you terribly.

I am so sorry to hear this news! My heart and prayers go out to the friends and family of Debbie! I know she fought a hard fight! Keep all the good memories in your hearts and remember the good times.
I worked with Debbie at H&R Block, but mostly in a different office. She kept me laughing when I did get the opportunity to work with her!
