DAVID DUCKWORTH Obituary
David Eugene Duckworth, 71, of Henderson, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.
He was a Vietnam War U.S. Army veteran and worked as a coal miner for 27 years. After retirement from the coal mines, David worked as a realtor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Stella Duckworth of Morganfield, Kentucky; and one daughter, Sherry Nally of Uniontown, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sandy; two daughters, Krista Duckworth McCormick and Karen Clayton Beasley, both of Henderson, Kentucky; one sister, Marie Barnett of Henderson, Kentucky; one brother, Billy Ray Duckworth of Waverly, Kentucky; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. The Reverend Sam Hinkson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

I met David thru his cousin Bruce Wayne and I thought the world of him he was always very kind and welcoming to me and I'll never forget he always called me "miami" my thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time I hope they remember that he is an angel in heaven watching over them and soaring high -sincerely niama k evans-

He was the best Poppy ever!!! We, his family, we're his world. He took care of us in all aspects. Emotionally, Mentally with his words of wisdom, Financially, we never went without and received not only what we needed but most of what we wanted. His empty chair is heart breaking.
