David Barkley Obituary

David L. Barkley passed away on Wednesday, March 9th after being stricken at home.  He was 53 years old.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 14th at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 3 -5 pm at the funeral home.

He was born in Watertown, NY on May 27, 1968 the son to the late Allen and Carol Larkin Barkley.

For many years you could find David helping his Dad on the family farm or mowing Fairview Cemetery in Rodman.

Surviving is his daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) VanEpps, Rodman; his son David Sullivan, Evans Mills; 2 brothers, Allen “Gene” (JoAnne) Barkley, Jr., Adams; Raymond (Christine) Barkley, Henderson; a grandson that is due in May; step-granddaughter, Emily VanEpps and several nieces and nephews.

David was a great handyman; he enjoyed listening to Rock and Roll Music and his trips to Mooney Gulf with his daughter.
