Curtis Anderson Obituary

Curtis Ezra Anderson, 90, of Ripley, WV, passed away February 12, 2026, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV.

He was born May 5, 1935, in Richwood, WV, a son of the late E.E. Anderson and Eva (Coleman) Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. 

He was a retired mill operator for Constellium, Ravenswood, WV with 35 plus years of service. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local # 5668 Ravenswood. He was a member of the Ripley Baptist Temple and enjoyed Mountaineer sports, playing cards, croquet, watching his grandsons’ sporting events and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Velda Grace (Cool) Anderson; daughter, Sandra V. Smith and her husband Bruce of Ripley, WV; sister, Althea Howard of Summersville, WV; brother-in-law, Keith Cool of Ripley, WV; grandsons, Corey and Casey Smith.
