Christy will always be remembered as a kind and caring soul. In grade school, she was one of my favorite classmates. Heaven is rejoicing, though I know her loved ones are inconsolable at this time. May God give each of you comfort as you remember your mother, daughter, sister and friend. The class of 1993 will miss you, Christy! Fly high in the heavens, watching over each of your loved ones. Thank you for inspiring so many of us and for showing us that anything is possible if only you BELIEVE!

Christy was a bright soul. When I moved to Austin she was one of the first people I met, I worked with her and spent a lot of time with her. I got to know her and her giving heart, her wonderful son, overall showed me what a great small town Elgin was. She impacted many youth and the love I saw she gave the community was heart warming. I’ll never forget christy and the endless love and support she gave me throughout my 4 years of living and working in Austin. To Christy’s parents, you did an amazing job raising such a good hearted daughter. I’ll never forget you christy. Love you always.

Christy was a beautiful person, with a love for kids. I've had several opportunities to meet with her and just chat for several minutes in the hallways. I am saddened to think that her light will not shine through our hallways anymore. May she forever rest in peace, I will miss her very much.
