Chris Helton Obituary
Mr. Chris Helton, age 52, of Molena, passed away June 27, 2022. Mr. Helton served in the US Navy as a corpsman and worked at Grady Hospital as a paramedic. He retired from the Clayton County Police Department where he was a member of the SWAT team. He also worked for Lowes. He is preceded in death by his father: Roger Kenneth Helton. He is survived by his loving wife: Terresa Bower; step-children: Renee (David) Johnson of Jonesboro and Ronda Bryson of Zebulon; mother: Judy F. (Dennis) Wright of Ellijay; brothers: Scott Helton of Villa Rica, Kevin (Becky) Helton of Ellijay, and Nick (Leslie) Helton of Holly Springs; sisters: Robin (Eric) Baker of Carrollton and Kasey (Andrea Branco) Helton of College Park; grandchildren: Kandus Johnson and Hunter Bryson; fur-babies: Molly, Daisy, Ginger, Fox, Summer, Luna, and Callie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Friday, July 1st, 2022 in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-7 PM before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to Life Line Animal Program,www.lifelineanimal.org in memory of Mr. Chris Helton.

To the family, I am so very sorry. Chris and I go back to his first days at Grady. I was a Supervisor on the evening shift and Chris was on my shift. My room mate was his partner for a while . He was a fresh face little blonde guy who was fascinated by Grady and everything we saw. He became a great Paramedic. There he met his sweet Terresa. I will never forget standing on the Grady ramp trying to get them back in service! He was just a nice guy who had an incredible work ethic. Then years later we reconnected. He loved his home, his dogs and his Terresa!! We kept in touch and I am going to miss him. I loved his fb post of all he was doing at the house. The finding of dogs that Terresa and I had in common!! I am going to miss you Chris. Terresa I am just up the road or around the corner from you if you ever need me. My heart cries with you and your family. Praying for each of you. I Iove you guys and will always remember the good days.
