Celia Munoz Obituary

Celia Gaitan Munoz was born on March 22, 1960, in Charlotte Texas and resided there for the majority of her life.  Her eternal life transition was tranquil and peaceful, surrounded by a room filled with the love of her family.  Her departure came to pass at 9:11 p.m. on June 18, 2022, at the age of 62. She will be rejoicing and reuniting with her parents Isabel Sanchez and Cipriano Gaitan; brothers, Gregorio, Cipriano Jr, Narciso, Alfredo, Baldemar, Christobal Gaitan and sister, Erlinda Lopez, in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Celia is survived by her husband, Adrian Torres; daughters, Angela Romo, Audrey Salinas and son-in-law, Michael Salinas; grandchildren, Alic, Seleste, Xavien and Dominic which were her pride and joy.  She is also survived by her siblings, Juan and Elisandro Gaitan, Minerva Vega and Amelia Martinez, among numerous nieces and nephews.

During her journey here with us, we had the pleasure to witness her talent of cosmetology, her generosity, kindred spirit, love of life and most of all, love of being a grandmother.  She was born for the role and enjoyed every living moment as they loved and enjoyed her as well.

Every small gift, every visit, every call will be greatly missed.  She made her grandchildren feel special, loved and even spoiled. There's nothing she wouldn’t do if it was in her ability or control.

They will forever remember and cherish her in their hearts.  As well as anyone else who she was a crying shoulder for, a helping hand, had given a token of appreciation to, or shared a special memory with. She was truly blessed with a lifetime of friends and family who absolutely love her.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton from 3:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Services will conclude at the chapel.  Burial information to be announced at a later date.
