Brittany Aguilar Obituary

Brittany Viviana Aguilar transcended from this earth December 7, 2021 in Spokane,
Washington. Where she resided with her paternal family.
Brittany was born January 19, 1992 in Granada Hills, California to Patricia Lopez and Luis
Aguilar. Brittany was of Mexican-American, Japanese and Spanish decent and took pride in her
diverse cultural heritage. At the age of five, Brittany was baptized at La Placita Olvera in DTLA.
Brittany at a young age developed a strong passion for the arts, poetry and writing. Brittany
loved to sing as well. At the tender age of six she created a song called “Diamond In The Sky”
and sang throughout the home.. As she got older, she would take up journaling and art.
Brittany attended various schools from Spokane, Washington to Los Angeles, CA. It was when
she was a student at Quartz Hills High and she would meet a great group of girls and they
would form a punk band known as Subsequential Truth. They wrote and performed songs
empowering feminism. They once opened for The Adicts in The Antelope Valley. She went on to
study at West LA College majoring in psychology. She would later receive her cosmetology
license in the State of California,
On July 25,2014 she married Alberto Sandoval in Lancaster, Ca. shortly after he enlisted in
the US Army and on December 31, 2014 they welcomed their daughter Scarlett Aurora
Sandoval. It was in the first year of marriage her husband was deployed to Fort Cambell,
Kentucky. While being a devoted wife and mother living on base, she wanted to return back to
the workforce. Brittany decided to become a Correctional Officer at one of The State of Kentucky
most dangerous prisons working on death roll.
Her husband would later be deployed to South Korea, she was missing family and decided
to return back home to California with her daughter and her dog Chapo she adopted while in
Kentucky.
She went back to her passion of being a Hairstylist and MUA at ULTA in Palmdale. Brittany
was always planning her next move with her daughter at the forefront as her motivation. She
studied at Antelope Valley College in an effort to be a radiologist. As she continued the climb to
shatter the glass ceiling, Brittany took up Stand Up comedy at what began as therapy for the
beginning of divorce from her husband. She had a natural stage presence because she had this
genuine ability to make you laugh, smile and laugh some more! She was loving, empathetic and
sincere. If you had Brittany as your friend, you knew that she was your biggest cheerleader
when you doubted yourself, she was your girl to gas you up! She loved her little “Drank”

(Pinkies up!) and she was going to have a good time. She loved being at a family gathering and
was going to enjoy every moment and everyone loved and enjoyed her presence. Brittany was
a Seattle Seahawks fan but bled Dodger Blue. Being a LA baby she repped her Lakers famous
purple and gold.
Brittany is survived by her almost 7 yr old daughter Scarlett Sandoval, Mother Patricia Lopez-Diaz,

Father Luis Aguilar, Step-Dad Alexander Diaz, Her Aunt/ Nina Claudia Aguilar,
Uncle/Nino Luis Gonzalez, who both embodied the spirit of second parents throughout Brittanys
life. Siblings, Frank Miyamoto,Melina Diaz, Stephanie, Hilaria, Larissa and Antonio Aguilar.
