Benjamin Collins Jr. Obituary

Benjamin F. Collins Jr. 73 passed away August 1, 2022. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Benjamin F. Collins Sr. and Maddie Mae Collins. Benjamin served in the US Army from 1967-1972 where he was stationed in Vietnam, upon his departure from the military he became a long-distance truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed his time with family and friends and enjoyed menudo. He had a passion for fishing and hunting.

Benjamin is preceded in death by his father; Benjamin F. Collins Sr., mother; Maddie Mae Collins, brother; Earl W. Collins.
Benjamin leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving children, daughter; Norma (Andy) Hernandez of Alice, Texas, son; Justin Smith of Virginia
He also survived by, His brother Ronnie Collins of Denver, Colorado, Sister Gail Collins of Florida; Nieces; Missy, Susie, Beverly. Nephews; Earl Jr. and Benny. Grandchildren, Mariah (Ron) Garza of Kingsville Texas, Manuel Hernandez of Alice Texas, Nevaeh Smith of Virginia; Great-Grandchildren Alexis, Dominique Garza of Kingsville Texas.

Pallbearers: Robert Maldonado, Manuel Hernandez, and Johnny Maldonado.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels from 3pm-9pm with a rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 10am. Interment will follow at the VFW Cemetery.
